What Information do I collect?
If you are reading this you’ve found our website. We do not harvest or collect email addresses from website visitors. If you don’t contact us and give us your email, we do not have your details.

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

Why I need it
I need to know your personal data so that I can provide you with the service/product/updates/news you have requested. I will not collect any data that I do not need in order to provide and oversee this request.
I would however like to use your name and email address to inform you of our future offers and similar products & to inform you of any changes to our business, website, services or goods and products. This information is not shared with third purposes and you can unsubscribe at any time via phone, email or our website. Please indicate below if this is something you would like to sign up to on my website.
How long I keep your data
I am required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Your information I use for marketing purposes will be kept with me until you notify me that you no longer wish to receive this information.
Storing your personal data
In operating our business via the Sophie Pilley website, your data is processed by my staff in the UK. I do not provide my own IT servers. However any third party shall not have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.
Obviously I do my utmost to ensure that our server hosts are secure and fully accredited. Unfortunately, I cannot be responsible for any illegal breaches that may occur.
